Polycrystalline Level
Spatial level or scale on which (1) properties on the microstructural level of a crystalline solid can be averaged or homogenized and (2) the majority of the manufacturing processes of interest operate. Examples of material modifications on this scale include (i) a modified yield strength and (ii) modified residual stresses of the 1st kind.
