Students from Bremen and Aachen got together on the 28th of October, 2022, for the 10th Certificate Course of the Academy Hypatia.
The theme of this years course was gender and its perception in everyday life and the working environment. University Professors Dr. Stefanie Reese and Dr. Julia Kowalski recounted their experiences as women in science on their way to professorship. In his presentation 'Think Manager - Think Male?' Dr. Thorsten Merl discussed the role of gender perception in everyday life. The lunch break and the concluding firside chat session gave students and professors ample opprtunity for questions, discussions and exchange.
