On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the University, the First Equality Slam of the University of Bremen will take place on 29.10.2021 from 8 pm in the Schwankhalle. In this modified form of poetry slam, the focus is on the topic of (in)equality at universities and in science. Subtle discrimination and exclusion mechanisms in research and teaching will be highlighted, stimulating discussion and providing strong arguments for political action. With their different perspectives, the slammers contribute to a multi-layered picture of equal opportunities at universities. The Equality Slam is sponsored by the SFB/TRR 136, among others.
