Support of Graduate Scientists

The Transregional CRC 136 developed an extensive program for targeted support of young scientists. The measures are built on committed involvement and interaction of doctoral researchers and Principal Investigators. The measures are divided into three areas:

Individual mentoring measures:

Targeted supervision and support of the doctoral researchers by the supervising University Professors and the Principal Investigators.

Joint CRC-specific measures:

Seminars, retreats, workshops, team-building activities, meetings and lectures by guest scientists in the graduate network.

Individual complementary measures:

Courses and workshops that can be attended according to individual requirements and in consultation with the graduate representative and the supervisor. Partners are inter alia the “Promotionscentrum” of the University of Bremen and the Center for Doctoral Studies of the RWTH Aachen University. In addition, SFB/TRR 136 can provide graduate students with a funded stay abroad for research purposes.
